Everyone deserves
the right to say goodbye.
And no one should have to do it alone.
Years ago, our founder had a friend she only knew online. He was part of a community of 78 people — real friendships, real love, built over years of shared experiences. One day, he simply disappeared.
Three months later, his wife found the community and told them he had passed away suddenly.
78 people who loved him. Not one got to say goodbye.
That is the problem DepartingNotes exists to solve. We are a membership‑based digital legacy platform — a place where anyone, regardless of income, can leave letters, documents, photos, and final messages for the people they love.
Everything is stored in an encrypted vault and released to designated recipients only when a member passes away — triggered by a death certificate submitted by their executor.
This is not a tech project. This is a mission.
The values we build on
Dignity for all
Saying goodbye shouldn't be a luxury. A free plan will always exist.
Privacy is sacred
Your vault is yours alone while you live. No exceptions, ever.
Love, delivered
The right words at the right moment can heal a lifetime.
Built by people who care
